Pulled into a car space at the shopping center and was confronted by some random chick with a pressure pack and a cloth who proceeded to spray its contents on my dirty as f**k rear windscreen and start buffing.

So with a slightly raised eyebrow I asked her to stop, she then hands me the can and its some canuba wax all purpose cleaner..... whilst still rubbing the windscreen.

She then asks are you worried about it scratching....No I'm worried you just choose to spray it on my car with out even asking, let alone whats in it.

Sorry FW1 you might be the greatest car product of all time but please provide your own car for the demos.

haha you mean this stuff...?!

their sales pitch certainly sucks! a couple of years ago the induced some severe swirl marks into my Datsun, which i obviously wasn't happy about, unfortunately i ended up buying this can to try as a replacement for my trusty Stardust Eclat spot detailer, as i couldn't get any more at the time... $40 completely wasted, it DOES do a decent Job of what it's marketed as, but i found it left a rather greasy finish, and actually semi-stripped the polish off the caprice... not only that but you need to have a pretty heavy hand to really get the stuff working, which is not the way i like to deal with my paint... lol

if anyone is actually after a products that does everything FW1 says they can, the check out the Stardust Eclat...

at about $10 a can, it's ALOT cheaper, and sooooooooooo much better....

lol, i ALWAYS wax my glass... and my rims... you'll find alot of people wax glass as it helps the water bead off effortlessly... i usually find if it rains within a couple of days of a fresh wax, i don't even need wipers... lol

mr sheen works in a very similar fashion to the Stardust Eclat, actually a REALLY great product for small touch ups etc...

no waxes should go milky...

it can be hard to find, i get it thru my uncle who's a detailer, but MR sheen works quite well, i'd recommend it over the FW1 stuff...

as i said at 1st... they do a decent job at what they're supposed to do, especially if you put some elbow grease into it.... just that it's rather over priced, as well as their horrible sales techniques...

I'll let most people drive my car if they need to (ie if I've had drinks,) I'll let other people work on it, I'll let people help me wash it... but I'll behead the first person who thinks they're touching my car without asking me first, especially if it's some unknown detailing product.

Since when was it even okay to do that?

Was she hot at least?;) that stuff is crap, it just smears everywhere and doesn't polish at all. I'm sure a lot of people will disagree but if you want to polish good condition factory paint IMO you can't beat using a clay bar with Meguiars quick detailer and then polishing the car with Nu Finish. The result is perfectly smooth paint.

Sort of hot with a Canadian? accent, which saved her from an ultimate tirade.
