The hard part about doing that is the hoops they make you go thru to make sure your reconing a DD and not another sub with DD soft parts. Pretty dumb really.

I honestly don't know who you were dealing with Phil cos I really struggled to get half decent priced recones through their international rep.. and that's the only person they put me on to, wouldn't deal with me direct either.

Dunno but they put me onto some dude who was not entirely helpful or willing to do a remotely decent deal (anywhere near the pricing they pay in the US).

Go to www.fixmyspeaker.com

They made me a recone for my DD3515 with Carbon fibre cone and dustcap and bumped up the RMS to 1500 Watts for $250 shipped!

If the sub is dual 4 ohm, and on meter it's reading 4.9 and 5.0 ohms, would this indicate it is blown? There is some slight scratching when cone is compressed.

Reads 1 on multi meter. Suggests coils are okay then?
Is there another way to test if something's wrong?
